Celanese Corporation is a global technology leader in the production of differentiated chemistry solutions and specialty materials used in most major industries and consumer applications.

We are seeking an Application Development Specialist to support our Industrial and Consumer Business in DACH area.

The individual will work with our customers to develop novel and differentiated solutions to promote and grow Engineered Materials sales in Industrial applications.

The purpose of this position is to identify and commercialize growth opportunities for our Engineered Materials portfolio in the Industrial and Consumer markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the application development process and collaborate with Marketing, Product, Technical, and Sales teams to drive new growth opportunities and extensions to successful commercialization.
  • Enter and maintain opportunities in SFDC through commercialization.
  • Ensure adequate hand-off to the relevant account manager or channel partner when commercial negotiation starts.
  • Work with the Marketing team to understand value chains and market dynamics, build understanding of value proposition, and look for expansion of performance polymers use into new application areas.

Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's engineering degree, solid technical background on engineering polymers, and experience in promoting/selling engineering polymers.

A strong sense of ownership, personal accountability, and analytical skills are also essential for success in this role.
