Job Summary

CERN is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join its team. As a Software Developer for RF and Beam Diagnostics, you will be responsible for developing software for the low-level RF and longitudinal beam diagnostics in the LHC and injector chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop real-time FESA software for signal acquisition from instruments and processing of high-bandwidth signal acquisition from the LLRF.
  • Design and implement graphical interface software for control and data presentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets requirements and is delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of C++ programming.
  • Experience with Python would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. git).
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to work in French being an advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: You must be a national of a country that has a formal agreement with CERN.
  • Professional Experience: You must have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • CERN Fellowships: You must not have had a CERN fellowship or graduate contract before.
  • University Degree: You must have a University degree.
  • PhD: You must not have a PhD.

  • A monthly stipend ranging between 5134 and 5647 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
