Software Developer for RF and Beam Diagnostics

Job Summary
CERN is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join its team. As a Software Developer for RF and Beam Diagnostics, you will be responsible for developing software for the low-level RF and longitudinal beam diagnostics in the LHC and injector chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop real-time FESA software for signal acquisition from instruments and processing of high-bandwidth signal acquisition from the LLRF.
- Design and implement graphical interface software for control and data presentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets requirements and is delivered on time.
Requirements
- Knowledge of C++ programming.
- Experience with Python would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. git).
- Fluent in English, with the ability to work in French being an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: You must be a national of a country that has a formal agreement with CERN.
- Professional Experience: You must have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- CERN Fellowships: You must not have had a CERN fellowship or graduate contract before.
- University Degree: You must have a University degree.
- PhD: You must not have a PhD.

What We Offer
- A monthly stipend ranging between 5134 and 5647 Swiss Francs (net of tax).

- Depending on your individual circumstances: installation grant; family, child and infant allowances; payment of travel expenses at the beginning and end of contract.
- 30 days of paid leave per year.
- On-the-job and formal training at CERN as well as in-house language courses for English and/or French.
