Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Expert to join our team at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, to work on the design and development of RF protection systems for our particle accelerator. The successful candidate will have experience in the design and simulation of analog-digital electronic circuits and systems, as well as expertise in instrumentation and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF protection systems for the LHC particle accelerator
  • Collaborate with the RF and Machine Protection teams to specify, design, build, and qualify the electronics for the protection system
  • Conduct testing and measurement of digital and analog electronic circuits
  • Develop and implement control loops and feedback systems for the protection system

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience
  • Expertise in programming techniques and languages, including Python and C
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to work in French an advantage
