Electronics Engineer: RF Interlocks Specialist

CERN, the European Organization for Particle Physics, is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join its team. As an RF Interlocks Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of critical protection systems for the Large Hadron Collider.
Your Responsibilities- Design, simulate, and construct analog-digital electronic circuits and systems
- Develop and test control loops and feedback systems
- Collaborate with the RF and Machine Protection teams to specify, design, build, and qualify the electronics for the protection system
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful implementation of the project
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field, with 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience
- PhD in Electronic Engineering or a related field, with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience
- Fluency in English, with the ability to work in French an advantage
- Strong knowledge of programming techniques and languages, including Python and C
- Experience with FPGA-based electronics and VHDL
- A competitive monthly stipend, ranging between 6212 and 6828 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax)

- Membership of the CERN Pension Fund
- 30 days of paid leave per year
- On-the-job and formal training at CERN, as well as in-house language courses for English and/or French
