About the Role


SHL Group is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Financial Strategist to join our team in Zug, Switzerland. As a key member of our Global Finance Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving our Finance Excellence strategy and supporting the Accounting & Consolidation Team.


Main Responsibilities



  • Lead, mentor, and develop an international accounting team, with a strong focus on driving and achieving results.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate accounting & consolidation of SHL Group, ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP FER and local GAAP.
  • Advise and coordinate with the CFO on setting policies and procedures to ensure accurate, and timely reporting and accounting.
  • Champion Finance governance processes, collaborating with regional teams to ensure robust processes and compliance with Swiss Code of Obligations and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
  • Assess current accounting operations and optimize them where needed, including ERP system implementation and process improvements.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure correctness and support financial analyses.
  • Supervise statutory audit of legal entities, ensuring compliance and supporting SHL Group auditor requests.
  • Support the CFO in projects, such as M&A activities and strategic initiatives, while ensuring federal, state, and local GAAP requirements.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Support the definition and implementation of a Group-wide Finance vision and strategy as a member of the Global Finance Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with other Accounting & Finance team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Comfortable performing ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested.

Requirements



  • 10+ years of progressive accounting expertise
  • 6+ years of leadership experience in a multicultural international environment
  • Strong knowledge in accounting & reporting processes and standards (Swiss GAAP FER)
  • Solid know-how and experience in consolidation
  • Leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Positive, 'can-do' attitude, energetic leader, able to gather energy and build followership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment, with the ability to gain trust and confidence at all levels in the organization
  • Technology savvy
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Being responsible, resilient, and stress-resistant
  • Fluent in English is a must; willingness to travel regularly to international sites
