Lombard Odier, a pioneering investment house with a rich history spanning over 225 years, is seeking a highly skilled Risk Assurance and Control Expert to join its Operational Risk Management department in Switzerland.

The Role

This role plays a key part in our second line of defense, focusing primarily on designing and executing control testing plans to ensure the effectiveness of our first line of defense risk and control frameworks. You will be responsible for conducting regular and ad-hoc control testing, assessing key controls across business units, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc control testing in alignment with our operational risk management policies and procedures
  • Assess key controls across business units to confirm compliance with internal policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of key controls, identifying weaknesses, inefficiencies, or potential risks
  • Provide timely and accurate testing results to management, ensuring transparency and actionable insights
  • Track and report remediation of identified exceptions, control gaps, and deficiencies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience within a private banking or financial services industry, with at least 1 year in operational risk management, internal control monitoring, or audit, is required.

You should also have a good understanding of the three lines of defense model in private banking, expertise in control testing methodologies, risk and control self-assessments, and reporting. Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and proficiency with MS Office Suite are also essential.
