About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Physicist to join our team at CERN. As a member of our Radiation Protection Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our personnel and the environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing radiation protection studies using Monte Carlo simulations, contributing to design optimisations, and providing expertise on radiation protection aspects of future accelerators and experiments. You will also be responsible for developing, using, and maintaining models, computer codes, and state-of-the-art tools for radiological risk assessments.

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in physics or nuclear engineering, with a specialization in radiation protection. Proven experience in the use of Monte Carlo radiation transport codes, such as FLUKA, is essential. Additionally, you should have demonstrated experience in writing technical and scientific documentation, including rules, reports, and international publications.
