Your Responsibilities
- Work independently in the mechanics workshop, operating standard machines and CNC equipment.
- Participate in assembly of beam instruments in an Ultra-High Vacuum environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to instrument-specific requirements.
- Install, inspect, and maintain beam instruments in CERN's accelerator tunnels.
- Conduct inspections and tests of mechanical parts upon arrival at CERN.
- Contribute to logistics, including store and asset management.

About You
- Higher technical diploma in mechanics, machining, or design (or equivalent).
- Experience with programming and operating CNC machines necessary.
- Standard machining skills (lathes, milling, boring).
- Proficiency in English, with French language skills an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality from a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- General secondary education diploma as highest educational qualification.
- No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract held.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree holders not eligible.
This position requires work in Radiation Areas and involves underground interventions, so valid driving licenses and certain medical clearance are necessary.
