Strategic Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including monthly closings and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to streamline payroll processes, providing necessary accounting information for timely monthly payroll preparation.
  • Process payroll-related invoices, maintain accurate employee data management within our database and systems, and ensure compliance with internal control standards (ICS).
  • Prepare and review profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and travel expense reports.
  • Lead or support initiatives aimed at improving finance processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

In this role, you will work closely with our finance team to drive process improvements, identify areas for cost savings, and implement new financial systems and procedures.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting with international exposure; experience in Biotech, Life Sciences, or Pharma industries is highly valued.
  • Proven expertise in ERP systems, particularly in accounting project management (system implementations, migrations).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and Swiss regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP, accounting systems, and Excel, alongside other MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for process improvement and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

We offer a competitive salary of CHF 90,000 - CHF 120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
