Medical Director, Clinical Development and Strategy

About This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Medical Director to drive the clinical development strategy for Friedreich's Ataxia (FA). Initial responsibilities will focus on the pediatric development plan and other life-cycle management activities for our rare disease product, the first approved treatment for Friedreich's ataxia. This individual will serve as the Clinical Development Lead on the Product Development and Commercialization team, and support business development activities for FA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute clinical development strategies to support the growth of our rare disease product portfolio.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive pediatric development plans and life-cycle management activities.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including KMEs, to drive business development activities.
- Manage multiple projects and take initiative to solve complex and challenging problems.
Requirements
- MD, PhD (life sciences), or PharmD degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Relevant experience in the neuromuscular and/or rare disease field.
- Prior experience engaging with regulators and/or payors and building and maintaining relationships with KMEs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and take initiative to solve complex and challenging problems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations.
- Fluency in English, other languages a plus.
