Job Title: Relationship Officer

HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA is seeking a skilled Relationship Officer to join our team. As a Relationship Officer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with high net worth and ultra high net worth individual clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as primary point of contact for high net worth and ultra high net worth individual clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Support Relationship Managers in deepening client relationships and improving income generation through focused business development activities and services.
  • Manage a portfolio of accommodation accounts/relationships, ensuring standard services are provided and opportunities to deepen relationships are identified and reported to Relationship Managers.
  • Provide comprehensive banking and transaction services, ensuring all customer data management issues are dealt with in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the credit application process, ensuring all credit applications meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Support the achievement of targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction, and cost containment.
  • Have regular contact and meetings with clients, ensuring their objectives and needs are met.
  • Ensure clients are aware of their level of risk in comparison to their risk tolerance and risk appetite.
  • Ensure all high net worth client-service related activities are fully compliant with processes and procedures.
  • Support in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and pitches for new products and services.
  • Provide general support in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation.
Requirements:
  • Preferably a University graduate with professional certificates such as CFA, CPA, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in private banking in the roles of a Client Service Executive, Investment Counsellor/Advisor.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, markets, and lending, and a good understanding of sophisticated products such as derivatives, structured products, and futures.
  • Excellent social and communication skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Fluent in English and other languages are a plus.
  • Good understanding of how a private bank functions as far as transaction processing, customer documentation, cross-border rules, financial crime compliance, and account opening.
  • Strong team spirit is a must.
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of programmes such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ideally Avaloq.
