Postdoctoral Researcher in DNA Damage Response and Synthetic Lethality

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our cross-functional team in the Department of Cancer Cell Targeted Therapies (CCTT) at Roche. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will focus on exploratory research projects on genome stability and DNA repair, with a focus on DNA Damage Response (DDR) and Synthetic Lethality for the treatment of various cancer types.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments using molecular and cell biology assays, including fluorescence microscopy and CRISPR technologies.
- Perform data analysis and communicate scientific progress through internal meetings and publications.
- Work independently to design, perform, and interpret experiments, and to embark on new scientific methodologies.
Requirements
- PhD degree in a relevant field, graduated no more than two years ago.
- Extensive experience with DNA repair-related assays.
- Strong background in vector design, genetic engineering, and molecular biology techniques.
- Strong hands-on experience with a wide range of cellular and molecular biology techniques and cellular assays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performing genetic screens.
- Basic programming skills in Python or R.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Roche, you will be based at the Roche Innovation Center in Basel, Switzerland. The duration of the RPF project is initially set for two years, with the possibility of extension for a third year.
