Responsibilities:
- Extend the existing magnetic model to cover eddy currents and pole face windings, as well as provide data for hysteresis modeling.
- Develop and benchmark a magnetic and optics model for the LEIR bending dipole using beam measurements.
- Depending on progress, improve models in the AD and PSB.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of magnetic modeling, including dynamic effects, and experience with linear and non-linear optics measurements.
- Fluent in English.
- Nationality of a CERN member state.
- Professional background in Applied Physics or a related field, with a Master's degree and 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience, or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
