Women's Continental Team Cycling Coach

Job Purpose:

The Road Coach will be responsible for the development and management of the female road athletes who train and race for the UCI WCC Women's Continental Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Training and Coaching: Plan and implement training programmes in accordance with the athlete's performance level.
  • Competition Calendar: Establish the competition calendar in accordance with the athlete's performance level.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis in competition and training.
  • Flaw Detection and Correction: Detect and correct physical and technical flaws in athletes.
  • New Athlete Identification and Recruitment: Identify and recruit new athletes for the team.
  • Athlete Management: Oversee athletes across the performance pathway and support their development, both at a sporting level and in the management of their life as an athlete.
  • Team Support: Support the team in competition in Switzerland and abroad, as well as manage and organise the teams when they are travelling for competitions.

Profile:

  • Experience: At least 3 years' experience as a Road coach or as a high-level Road athlete.
  • Qualifications: Degree in sports science, training as a coach or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficiency in the use of training software, excellent knowledge of current coaching methods, road techniques and tactics, organisational and planning skills, comfortable with MS 365 tools and good writing skills.
