The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to join our Emerging Markets team as a Strategic Tender Management Director. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to continuously improve Abbott's performance in the tender business.

You'll work closely with key markets and cross-functional teams to build and execute best-in-class processes and solutions to leverage local Tender Capabilities and optimize Abbott outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer & Market Insight: Understand customer and market needs to build effective tender strategies.
  • Anticipate trends and opportunities in the T&C business, continuously enhancing market and pricing intelligence.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define tender strategies and tactical initiatives with clear, measurable objectives and KPIs.
  • Regularly report performance to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Efficiency & Effectiveness: Ensure the global tender process is applied across markets, achieving the highest efficiency and effectiveness in tender bidding.
  • Innovation & Change: Drive innovation and lead change to improve tender capabilities.
  • Partner with regional and local stakeholders to meet tender revenue objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Advance Abbott EPD's tender capabilities by evolving operational infrastructure, training, processes, and technology platforms.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams including finance, supply, pricing, marketing, and local tender leaders to optimize tender processes and programs.
  • Engage and develop local market tender colleagues to become tender experts.
  • Proactive Planning: Ensure transparency on upcoming tender opportunities and involve all required functions to enhance our probability to win.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with the global supply organization to optimize COGS for tender molecules and maintain supply continuity and reliability.
