Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced customer service professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As part of our Road Division, you will be the first point of contact for all Swiss export customers served from our Pratteln location. Your primary responsibility will be to handle customer inquiries and provide an efficient interface to operations.
Your goal is to maximize customer satisfaction, optimize the customer experience, and build long-term customer relationships – before, during, and after transport. You will work closely with internal departments, especially operations and the customs department, to ensure smooth shipment processes.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Handle national and international customer inquiries in the export area via email and phone in German and English, and partially in French.
- Aceptance, review, and initial entry of incoming customer orders as well as conducting customs clearance checks.
- Closely cooperate with internal departments, especially operations and the customs department, to ensure smooth shipment processes.
- First point of contact for customer inquiries or incoming complaints.
- Recording, maintaining, and updating customer data in the internal TMS.
- You have completed training or retraining as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification.
- You bring extensive professional experience in freight forwarding.
- You are very familiar with common MS Office applications.
- Your German and English skills are business fluent, both spoken and written.
- You work independently, responsibly, and in a structured manner.
- You have a confident appearance, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
