Governance and Resource Mobilization Officer

As a Governance and Resource Mobilization Officer at WHO, you will play a critical role in facilitating the efficient functioning of our governance structures. You will work closely with the Board Relations Team to review processes and tools, prepare and manage calls for proposals, and provide coordinated responses to proponents.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the efficient functioning of governance structures
- Review processes and tools in support of the Board Relations Team
- Prepare and manage calls for proposals
- Provide coordinated responses to proponents
- Provide analytical support concerning Unitaid's participation in the work of the Partners Constituency on the Global Fund Board
- Represent WHO at events, stakeholder working groups, and selected initiatives
- Coordinate the organisational wide donor engagement of one resource contributing Board Member
- Coordinate the work of the innovative financing workstream
- Facilitate the promotion of cooperation agreement strategies and operational alliances with donors and the private sector
- Negotiate contributions, striving for timeliness, predictability and maximum flexibility
- Draft internal and external correspondence, including briefing notes for senior management
- Identify and access new donors and funding sources, particularly private sector
- First level university degree in business, social sciences, public relations, international relations or related fields
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the field of health and international relations with some exposure to governance relations
- Experience in organization of high-level meetings
- Experience in management of logistic needs for the conduct of international meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and project/programme management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver high impact results
- Strong interpersonal skills, tact, discretion, diplomacy and mature judgment
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and make the case for investments
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex partnerships
- Ability to work under pressure and move forward in a fast-changing environment
- Expert knowledge of English
- Intermediate knowledge of French
