About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team as a PhD candidate in Social Networks and Digital Cultural Consumption. This prestigious position offers an unparalleled chance to delve into the forefront of social network research.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic research environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Your responsibilities will encompass revisiting and further developing theories from the field of cultural sociology, conceptualizing and designing innovative data collection strategies and behavioral experiments, developing new statistical methods for analyzing digital data with network concepts, engaging in interdisciplinary dialogues to enhance knowledge on how digital systems shape and mediate individual preferences, and presenting research progress at international conferences.

Requirements:

  • An excellent Master's degree in social, computational, statistical, or behavioral sciences
  • Prior work demonstrating a strong interest in quantitative social network research
  • Demonstrated experience in research design and project implementation
  • Solid quantitative analysis and data management skills, including experience in R or Python
  • Strong scientific writing skills
  • Ability to work productively in an interdisciplinary team
