Job DescriptionThis role involves cutting-edge experimental research as part of an international team working on quantum devices at ETH Zürich and EPFL in Switzerland.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this position, you will need:
- A PhD in physics, quantum engineering, or electrical engineering with a focus on superconducting nonlinear devices.
- Extensive experience in simulating electrical circuits and devices.
- Strong general research skills and the ability to conduct independent research.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
You will have access to a stimulating work environment at ETH Zurich and EPFL in Switzerland. As part of our team, you will contribute to regular meetings and be responsible for the following tasks:
- Simulation of parametric amplifier circuits using nonlinear optics techniques and harmonic balance.
- Design of new devices using existing python-based design packages.
- Conducting advanced microwave measurements in state-of-the-art cryogenic setups.
Your salary will be approximately CHF 80,000 per year.
