Achieve Success as our Head of Data

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data to join our dynamic team and lead our data strategy. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our data vision, ensuring it aligns with our overall company strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement our data architecture, ensuring it supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and decision-making capabilities
  • Create tools and data visualization for efficient business decision-making
  • Develop and own data governance, working closely with senior management to establish data definitions and ensure proper use across teams
  • Ensure data quality in our core ERP systems by setting up checks and balances
  • Lead three data and BI engineers, guiding them to develop their skills and expertise
  • Optimize and monitor our data warehouse, leveraging technologies like Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, and Tableau
  • Champion automation and efficiency by integrating orchestration tools like Airflow
  • Spearhead AI initiatives, including AI-driven customer insights, tailored supply optimizations, and embedding Generative AI across business processes

Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Data reliability
  • Data availability and latency
  • Data governance across FELFEL, encompassing process overview, data gathering, storage, and more, as defined with the management team

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with at least 5 years in leadership positions
  • 5+ years of experience leading a business function (e.g., demand planning, forecasting)
  • A strong business sense and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in SQL, solid understanding of data architecture and modeling, and hands-on experience with DBT
  • Expertise in automating and scaling workflows using orchestration tools like Airflow
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, data ingestion tools like Fivetran, and Snowpipe
  • Demonstrated success in building and optimizing robust data pipelines for performance, scalability, and low latency
  • Experience deploying AI-driven solutions, such as customer insights and supply chain optimization, is a plus
