Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refereeing Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Refereeing Operations team with all administrative tasks related to the appointments of referees and referee observers for UEFA competitions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Refereeing Operations team, including entering data in UEFA's online Football Administration Management Environment (FAME) platform, sending match appointments notifications and confirmations, and processing replies from referees' national associations and referee observers.
  • Travel Coordination: The candidate will coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for video assistant referees (VAR) operating remotely from UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
  • Data Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing databases for panels of referees and observers in FAME, periodically updating referee category lists and national associations' referee key contacts lists.
  • On-Site Support: The candidate will provide on-site support to the Refereeing unit at refereeing events and courses in Switzerland and abroad.

Requirements

  • Experience: The candidate should have at least 1-3 years' experience working in an international organisation, with experience working with large database systems and sporting events or for another sporting organisation.
  • Education: A CFC diploma or Bachelor's degree in business administration, sports management or a relevant field is required.
  • Languages: The candidate should be proficient in English and have advanced French language skills, with any other languages being an asset.
