Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team in Heerbrugg, Switzerland. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and testing robotic devices, as well as collaborating with engineers to carry out comprehensive verification testing.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience working with complex mechatronic systems and a proven track record of mechanical assembly processes. You will be self-organized, able to determine daily tasks, and prioritize them effectively. Proficiency in English is necessary, while German fluency (B2 or higher) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build novel robotic devices from scratch
  • Collaborate with engineers to carry out comprehensive verification testing on both subsystems and complete robotic systems
  • Manage workshop operations and collaborate with the team to determine Work-in-Process procedures
  • Support top-notch quality through systematic inspection and verification of components and assemblies based on engineering drawings and best practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly processes, including cabling, soldering, and general electronics handling
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician/maintenance engineer working with complex mechatronic systems
  • Self-organized, able to determine daily tasks, and prioritize them effectively
  • Proficient in the use of measurement and testing tools for mechatronic subsystems
  • Understanding of ESD safety measures is a plus
  • Basic computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English is necessary, while German fluency (B2 or higher) is preferred
