Job Description

As our first full-time electrical engineer, you will play a central role in the further development of the electrical system, from the design and assembly of circuit boards as well as cabling and construction of the robot system. You will work closely with the hardware and software team. You will also write the low-level firmware for the individual components.

In your role, you are primarily responsible for the following tasks:

  • Drive the development and improvement of the Tethys Robotics underwater drone.
  • Wiring and assembly of the robot system in collaboration with the hardware team.
  • Production, calibration, testing, and debugging of electrical subsystems.
  • Assembly and testing of printed circuit boards.
  • Write low-level firmware programming (C/C++) and coordinate interfaces with the software team.
  • Preparing subsystems for certification.

Profile

  • Education: Electrical engineering BSc or similar with electronics/automatic technician (EFZ) background.
  • Practical work experience:
  • PCB design in KiCad or Altium.
  • PCB manufacturing & testing.
  • Programming experience with C or C++.
  • Teamwork: A team player who feels comfortable in the dynamic environment of a fast-paced start-up company.
  • Independent: The ability to work independently and accurately while delivering high-quality results and keeping track of a large amount of different tasks to be carried out individually.
  • Pragmatism: A pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Languages: Business fluent in written and spoken German and English.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • STM32 microcontrollers.
  • CE certification.
  • Driver implementation.
