Job Opportunity

Tethys Robotics at Wyss Zurich Translational Center is seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will work closely with R&D and external partners to analyze, test, and improve our system on all levels for all conditions. You will master our robots, understand the technology that makes us unique, and present this to our partners and customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field testing the newest features and developing test methods to support reaching product readiness by piloting and experiments
  • Performing demos and trainings of our robot with partners and customers in all waters in Switzerland and abroad
  • Performing external service jobs with the drone, by piloting, collecting data and creating reports
  • Creation of manuals and guides to the robot
  • Closely collaborating with R&D in system data analysis and system evaluation for quality management

Requirements

  • Education: Technical background (BSc, MSc) in Mechanical-, or Electrical engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar
  • Travelling: Open to travel. Global. On short notice, 1-3 days, ~1x per month

  • Pragmatism: A pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Languages: Business fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • Technical: Programming skills in Python and proficient with Unix

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficiency in an additional language to German and English (e.g. French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese)
  • Experience in projects with ROS
  • Experience with Game Engineers / C# / Unity
  • Experience in piloting of drones
