Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer / QA Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Agile team, you will be responsible for working autonomously and collaborating with other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working independently in an Agile environment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with systems end-users and other teams to comprehend business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Reading and understanding Functional System Requirements (FSRE) provided by Business Analysts.
  • Writing, reviewing, and updating Equipment Requirements (ERE) in collaboration with the Product Owner using Polarion, while ensuring traceability to Functional System Requirements (FSRE).
  • Creating and maintaining test cases to provide comprehensive coverage of Equipment Requirements (ERE) using Polarion.
  • Configuring and setting up test platforms.
  • Developing automatic test scripts for test automation environments, utilizing tools like Squish and Python.
  • Executing manual and automatic tests in integrated validation environments as part of sprint work during the Build phase or as part of the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) during acceptance phase, and reporting test results.
  • Analyzing and describing issues/bugs in the issues Database, and participating in their classification.
  • Clarifying identified defects or related Equipment Requirements (ERE).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Air Traffic Management Domain or a safety-critical domain.
  • A proven track record in writing system and software specifications, along with experience in system and software testing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand end-user needs and translate them into requirements for the Development Team.
  • Adaptability, autonomy, rigor, and a teamwork-oriented approach.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively.
  • High resistance to stress and flexibility.
  • Proven experience with test automation tools using Python, with a strong preference for those with experience in Squish and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Polarion is a significant advantage for this position.
  • Knowledge of Java development and JUnit for test automation is a plus.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required, with proficiency in French and German being a plus.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ED153/ED109A or ED12B/C is a significant advantage for this position.
  • Pro-active attitude within a self-organized team.
