Portfolio Manager for Non-Life Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a technical portfolio management framework for Helvetia Group's non-life business, ensuring seamless integration across market units.
  • Monitor and support the implementation of portfolio management processes in market units, providing expertise on structure, methodology, and quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks of portfolios in market units, initiating corresponding measures to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate processes between market units and the Group, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage interfaces with specialist units and market units, fostering strong relationships and driving business success.

Requirements:

  • Long-term experience in managing underwriting portfolios, preferably in portfolio management or actuarial functions in the insurance/reinsurance business.
  • Proven track record in profitability and portfolio management of insurance portfolios across the entire insurance cycle.
  • Reflective and communicative personality with a multi-dimensional understanding of success, skilled in maintaining relationships across different levels and countries.
  • Internationally mobile, with the ability to travel in Europe (30% of the time).
  • Languages: German, English, Spanish; French and/or Italian are an advantage.
