About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Global EHS Strategist to join our team at ESTÉE LAUDER Companies in Lachen, Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced international environment and drive best-in-class performance in Environmental Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deploy the Global Value Chain strategy across the campus, including transformational activities related to the EHS function.
  • Establish and provide coaching to employee-led teams such as Safety Committee, Behavior-Based Safety Team, and Green Teams.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and collaborate with local and global stakeholders to update training in response to new legal requirements or changes at the site.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or similar in Environmental Science, Safety Science, Engineering, or other Science/Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Safety, health, hazardous Materials, machinery Safety, or Environmental Affairs, preferably in manufacturing operations.
  • Preferred certifications: Specialist for Occupational Safety and Health (ASGS), NEBOSH International Diploma, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar designations or working towards such certification.

The successful candidate will have excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to adjust communication style based on the situation and the audience. They will also have sound knowledge of management systems, methodologies, basic concepts and best practices in EHS management. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with periodic supervision. Fluency in MS Office applications and good PowerBI knowledge is also required. Full professional proficiency in German and English is essential.
