Vorwerk International & Co. KmG, a leading German family-owned company with 140 years of experience, seeks an exceptional individual to fill the role of Head of Procurement and Merchandising.

Overview

The successful candidate will lead efforts to optimize supply chain operations, enhance product assortment and services strategies, and drive innovation. This role combines strategy, operational excellence, and creativity, with a focus on quality management, supplier partnerships, procurement management, and global market insights.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and values.
  • Establish and manage relationships with global and local suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Travel extensively to identify best suppliers, explore creative ideas, and foster partnerships.
  • Lead contract negotiations, supplier selection, and performance management processes.
  • Stay informed on trends and innovations by attending international exhibitions.

  • Purchasing costs aligned with company targets.
  • Improved product mix and alignment with customer needs.
  • Effective inventory management maintaining stock levels and reducing waste.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement, merchandising, or related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven expertise in supplier management, contract negotiations, and global sourcing.
