Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Desk Technician to join our team at Emile Egger & Cie SA. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving issues for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve service desk tickets and technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Install, configure, and support a wide range of IT hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows operating systems and services
  • Maintain accurate records of local users and IT assets, and contribute to the global IT assets and user data management
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support services to end-users, ensuring minimal disruption to their work
  • Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments, to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime
  • Ensure documentation of Service Desk processes and frequent case resolutions is up-to-date and accurate, facilitating knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Collaborate with the Global IT team to deploy global systems and resolve complex issues, promoting a unified and efficient IT environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Service Desk services, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing process improvements

Requirements

  • CFC in IT, possibly supplemented by higher education in IT, or equivalent qualification
  • 3-6 years of experience in IT service desk or related roles, with a strong understanding of IT systems and processes
  • Fluent French and English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and services, as well as good multidisciplinary technical skills in computer systems
  • Working knowledge of M365, Intune, and Entra services, with a fundamental understanding of IT security and Networking
  • Technical certifications, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco, are a plus
  • Strong customer-focused attitude, with a problem-solving mindset and excellent ability to collaborate with a local and global team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, with a proactive approach to professional development
