  • Define system requirements, design specifications, and performance parameters for spectrometer systems based on input from collaborators.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to ensure system functionality, accuracy, and reliability.

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in the laboratory and in the field.

  • Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of new product concepts or enhancements to existing spectrometer systems.
  • Drive good engineering practices on projects.
  • Drive resolution of technical issues that may impact product introduction and ramp.

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of technical leadership in requirements-based product development of complex equipment - spectrometer experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading multidisciplinary teams, developing system requirements and making system and process flow design decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability in driving collaborative and innovative solutions under fixed project schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), Proven ability to communicate effectively within the organization and with customers.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed (20% maximum)
  • English (must have), French is a plus
