Job Description
We are seeking an Economic Governance Expert for Sustainable Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and growing team within the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) Secretariat as it commences its work.
The TISFD is a global initiative for reporting and managing inequality and social-related risks, opportunities, impacts, and dependencies. The Taskforce is a multistakeholder initiative involving investors, business, labor, civil society, policy makers and regulators, service providers, and academia working together to co-create a global framework for inequality and social-related disclosures, guidance and education and capacity building resources.
The Economic Governance Expert will contribute to the development of the TISFD's disclosure framework, including its conceptual foundations, recommendations, metrics and indicators, and associated guidance. The technical team will also conduct research and analysis underpinning the TISFD's deliverables and contribute to the development of its outputs.
The Economic Governance Expert will work closely with the Technical Director and other members of the technical team to achieve the objectives of the TISFD. The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and convey complex concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with significant work experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in economic governance, sustainable development, and corporate sustainability. Strong knowledge of multilateral organizations and international development is also required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to write clearly and convincingly in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required, and knowledge of graphic design software and online dissemination tools is an asset.
