About the Role:This position is a key part of our finance and accounting team, responsible for managing insurance-related risks and ensuring that our financial statements accurately reflect our business activities.
- Salary Estimate: €80,000 - €110,000 per annum (depending on experience)
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing insurance-related risks, developing and implementing financial accounting policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in insurance or reinsurance
- Proven understanding of standard accounting practices (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance
- Comprehensive knowledge of Reinsurance business/accounting and local GAAP, IFRS 9/17, and relevant regulatory standards like Solvency II
- Finance and Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) and understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs. management view)
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with experience in communication of results to various stakeholders
