Accounting Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations team at EF Education First's head office in Zurich, Switzerland. Key responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the accounting department, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, as well as preparing and reviewing complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and organizational background, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment. The selected candidate will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining financial processes and controls, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and contributing to the development of financial reports and forecasts.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm or with a similar ERP environment.
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance, with accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) considered an asset.
  • Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
