Diplomacy Training and Development Opportunities

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized trainee to join our team at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). As a Traineeship - CDT and tailor-made activities trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the coordination and implementation of face-to-face and online training activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination of Core Diplomatic and tailor-made training activities, including preparation of training materials, coordination of logistics before, during and after courses;
- Support subject matter experts with the development of participatory training activities;
- Conduct research and draft project proposals for further collaborations;
- Adapt training materials and learning packages to quality and academic standards and certification criteria;
- Liaise directly with partner organizations and beneficiaries in preparation for the delivery of the Programme;
- Where relevant, liaise with applicants and programme participants to manage their eligibility and registration status;
- Prepare key data such as programme statistics and evaluation reports;
- Undertake research that may provide necessary input into such training tools and exercises;
- Assist the unit in its outreach and communication strategy.
- Translate strategic vision into actionable objectives;
- Work independently and take initiative;
- Develop a professional rapport with UNITAR and United Nations staff;
- Propose ways to further UNITAR's mission;
- Work in a multicultural environment.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong interest in training methodologies and digital skills. A high standard in both oral and written English is required, and knowledge of French and/or Arabic is an advantage.
Requirements- Enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate/postgraduate degree (within either international relations, education, history, law, political science, languages or a related subject) or be a recent graduate of the aforementioned;
- Demonstrated interest in training methodologies, both in person and online; ability to write in a clear and concise manner, up to high quality standards; analytical and research skills; administrative and organizational skills to assist in the organization of training activities;
- A high level of individual responsibility, commitment and initiative.
The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities, health insurance, and paid time off.
