Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Linux infrastructure solutions using industry-standard technologies.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality scripts using Bash and other programming languages.
  • Configure and manage version control systems such as Git.
  • Use tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Chef for configuration management.
  • Implement IaC principles to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Manage file systems and sharing using various storage solutions.
  • Perform system administration tasks including user management, file permissions, package management, and system monitoring.
  • Configure network settings such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
  • Implement security best practices and protocols.
  • Work with virtualization platforms like VMWare and KVM, and containerization platforms Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Develop backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and monitoring/logging tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux distributions, scripting languages, and version control systems.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and IaC principles.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and protocols.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization platforms.
