About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Automation Informatics Specialist to join our team at Becton Dickinson AG (Straub Medical). As a key member of our Technical Service EMEA Informatics Center of Excellence Team, you will play a critical role in supporting customers within Switzerland on the BD Integrated Diagnostic Solution Middleware solutions and related IT connectivity activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Middleware Implementation and Support: Install, implement, fix, and maintain the BD IDS Middleware (BD EpiCenter and BD Synapsys) at customer sites.
  • IT Connectivity and Integration: Connect the BD IDS Middleware to the customer IT network as required, and support/implement the Middleware connections (LIS, Client/Server architecture) in collaboration with the Applications Support Team.
  • Service Management and Reporting: Use, record, maintain, and report all support activities into the service management system (customer installed base, software version, tickets, on-site visits, remote support, maintenance, etc.).
  • Sales Support and Collaboration: Support the BD IDS sales team in the country/region during sales activities such as IT connectivity questions, lab audits, project proposals, and customer interactions.
About You
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in IT or IT engineering (or equivalent by experience), and a first experience as an Informatics Specialist, preferably in medical technology companies.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth technical knowledge of Database Query language, SQL server installation and configuration, connectivity solutions, computer networking (VPN-VLAN), ASTM and HL7 protocols.
  • Project Management and Language Skills: Project management skills, and proficiency in German or French as a native language, with English as a second language.
  • Travel Requirements: Able to travel up to 50% (entire Switzerland coverage requested).
