About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Validation and Automation Engineer to join our team at STMicroelectronics. As a key member of our General-Purpose Microcontroller business, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our microcontroller products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the validation automation activity, defining the automation roadmap and ensuring the maintenance of the automation framework.
- Develop and implement automatic tests, ensuring their integration into the test platform and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to synchronize test strategies, coverage, progress, and reporting.
- Investigate and track tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior software validation and automation engineer (minimum 2 years).
- Strong academic background in Software/Hardware engineering.
- Good knowledge of ARM Cortex cores and associated embedded C compilers.
- Good knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers architecture and ecosystem.
- Solid programming experience in embedded C.
- Previous experience with software configuration management tools, code review, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for hardware components.
- Strong documentation, writing, and reporting skills.
- High communication skills, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Multi-tasker, independent, punctual, and team-oriented spirit.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification is appreciated.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Software/Hardware engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in software validation and automation.
Language Skills
- French (Advanced).
- English (Business fluent).
