About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team at the United Nations Development Programme. As a key member of our Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures, you will play a critical role in developing a global framework for inequality and social-related disclosures.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our technical team to conduct research and analysis related to inequality and social-related impact and risk pathways. You will be responsible for conducting research and drafting briefings on the implementation of sustainability-related disclosures in jurisdictions around the world. Additionally, you will support the preparation of meetings of the Taskforce's Working Groups and other bodies.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis related to inequality and social-related impact and risk pathways
  • Conduct research and draft briefings on the implementation of sustainability-related disclosures in jurisdictions around the world
  • Support the preparation of meetings of the Taskforce's Working Groups and other bodies
  • Contribute to the documentation of feedback from Technical Working Groups, the TISFD's Alliance, and public consultations
  • Contribute to the development of educational and capacity building resources aimed at communicating the objectives and work of the Taskforce to a range of different audiences
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in International Development, Political Science, Innovation, Business, or Economics, or any relevant Social Science field
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate sustainability and sustainable finance
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of corporate sustainability and sustainable finance
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
