The United Nations Population Fund is committed to ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, competence, and integrity in its operations. As a Deputy Chief Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and directing security activities within the organization.
Responsibilities- Oversee the management of security equipment, supplies, and uniforms as well as firearms, and the issuances of keys.
- Ensure the effective management of human resources and develop strategies for deployment of manpower.
- Oversee the preparation and management of the budget of the Security Service.
- Analyse security and safety trends and developments and present proposals for improved policies, procedures, techniques, and equipment to be implemented or used on the UN premises.
- Lead working groups on security and development projects and provide advice on security and related technical matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in social/political science, law, criminal justice, or business administration, with at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in security, risk, or disaster-management in the public or private service areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Thorough knowledge of security risk management, crisis management, and emergency response.
- Mastering of physical security principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
