Research Opportunities

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled researchers to join our team at EPFL or ETHZ Hoenggerberg in the development of superconducting parametric amplifier technology. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be part of an international team working on quantum devices and will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Simulation and Design

You will be responsible for simulating parametric amplifier circuits using nonlinear optics techniques and harmonic balance, as well as designing new generations of devices using our existing python-based design packages.

Advanced Microwave Measurements

You will conduct advanced microwave measurements in state-of-the-art cryogenic setups to assess the gain profile and the quantum-limited noise performance of the amplifiers.

Collaboration and Teamwork

You will work closely with our research teams and contribute to regular team meetings to report on project progress.

Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

A PhD in physics, quantum engineering, or electrical engineering, ideally with a focus on superconducting nonlinear devices.

Simulation and Design Experience

Extensive experience in simulating electrical circuits and devices.

Research Skills and Teamwork

Strong general research skills with the ability to conduct independent research, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with industry partners.

Programming Skills

Proficiency in Python programming.
