As a key member of our Enrichment team, you will deliver captivating presentations on destination-relevant topics within our state-of-the-art Theatre. Your expert knowledge and enthusiasm will provide context for guests' upcoming ports of call, covering customs, law, dress, traditions, religion, language, and cuisine.
Your Responsibilities:- Prepare and deliver a series of engaging lectures on various destinations.
- Conduct informative Q&A sessions following each presentation.
- Provide scenic commentary where applicable.
- Host tables for dinner, fostering meaningful interactions with guests.
- Accompany guests on shore excursions in various ports.
- Represent Viking as an ambassador, embodying the company's values and excellence.
- Degree or relevant personal experience in your field of expertise.
- Lecturing experience in a college/university/cruise ship setting.
- Excellent public speaking skills, confident and passionate about sharing knowledge.
- Computer literacy, including PowerPoint proficiency.
- Dedicated, flexible, and approachable personality.
- Professional appearance and well-groomed.
- Proactive in maintaining Viking's high standards of excellence.
- Availability for questions, feedback, and general inquiries from guests.
- Fluency in English; foreign language proficiency a plus.
- A unique opportunity to travel the world in style, exploring new destinations while sharing your passion for history and culture.
- Double cabin accommodations on board, inclusive of meals, drinks, and unlimited Wi-Fi.
- A travel companion can join you in your cabin.
- Travel to/from the ship provided by Viking for both you and your travel companion (for 18-night voyages).
