About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Global Compliance and Reporting team.

As a senior financial accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial information. You will be responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in accordance with Swiss GAAP, preparing statutory financial statements in line with Swiss GAAP standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, rules, and internal controls.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Closing Activities: Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in accordance with Swiss GAAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare statutory financial statements in line with Swiss GAAP standards, presenting a clear and accurate picture of the company's financial performance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, and internal controls, identifying and mitigating potential risks that may impact financial reporting.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with client auditors, responding to audit requests and providing timely and accurate information to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Junior Team Supervision: Supervise and train junior team members, supporting them in regular activities such as vendor invoice processing, bank account reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
Your Profile
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controlling, ideally with exposure to international clients.
  • Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation, proficiency in ERP systems and Excel, and recent experience with SAP (S4Hana), NetSuit, or Workday is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French, with German being a plus.
