Operational Excellence Manager Job Description

The Operational Excellence Manager for Quality and Compliance will collaborate closely with teams at local, regional, and global levels to identify areas for improvement, devise strategies, build capabilities, and implement initiatives. This role will play a key part in enhancing business performance by improving efficiency, agility, and quality and compliance aspects of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead key operational excellence programs and initiatives within Quality and Compliance
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, agility, and quality with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Use data-driven insights and analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Drive performance management and be accountable for metrics, scorecards, and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, evaluate, and implement action plans to maintain or improve products and processes
  • Implement lean six sigma methodologies, Kaizen events, root cause problem solving, and data analytics to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Present complex data insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in STEM. Master preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Quality, operations, or Supply Chain, preferably in a life science or multinational organization (FMCG).
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to support business results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (e.g., Black belt).
  • Fluent in English.
