Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide face-to-face technical support to colleagues, investigating and resolving queries in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ticket Management: Ensure all user tickets are logged into the support desk system, resolve and close tickets in a timely manner, and keep users updated on progress.
- Escalation and Training: Escalate complex tickets to senior team members and engage in training opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in key areas such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels to ensure accuracy of records and maintain stock levels to meet office needs.
- Incident Resolution: Resolve incidents across all sites and for colleagues working remotely.
- Procurement Support: Provide cover and work closely with IT Procurement to respond to purchasing requests and queries.
- System Maintenance: Ensure ongoing system updates, maintenance of hardware and software, and other ad-hoc IT duties.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, 10, and Office 365.
- Technical Skills: Good understanding of how a helpdesk operates, troubleshooting skills, and experience with Microsoft Active Directory, web applications, networks, protocols, and emails.
- Networking Knowledge: Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking, experience with DHCP, DNS, and VPN, and a basic knowledge of PC hardware with experience of diagnosing problems.
- Language Skills: B2/C1 English level required, as well as French.
