Chief Financial Officer

A high-growth Omnichannel OTC company with a unique platform and a strong portfolio, pipeline, and digital capabilities is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. The company develops chemical-free drugs and supplements in selected therapeutic areas, targeting the out-of-the-pocket pharmaceutical market, especially elderly customers with chronic conditions who prefer chemical-free drugs to reduce the risk of side-effects.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering significant commercial results and driving change as a CFO in mid-sized companies. They will lead the business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including cash flow management, and ensure robust risk management and governance frameworks are in place. The candidate will also manage relationships with financial stakeholders, including banks, and develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, providing them with accurate and timely information about the company's financial performance and strategic direction.
The role involves overseeing and executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, to support the company's growth strategy, leading contract management and negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company policies, and supervising the HR, IT, and logistics departments, as well as corporate legal functions, ensuring efficient operations across these areas. The candidate will also plan and establish a central procurement function to streamline purchasing and cost management and manage board-related activities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The company is looking for a candidate with a university degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field, with excellent grades, and several years of experience as a CFO in mid-sized companies. The ideal candidate will have a good blend of operational mindset and strategic thinking, strong digital affinity, leveraging technology for business improvement, and outstanding analytical, strategic, and decision-making capabilities, driving informed and effective business decisions. Fluency in both German and English is essential.
