About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (Switzerland Branch). As a key member of our account team, you will be responsible for driving technical relationships with customers, providing strategic guidance on cloud architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers, providing expert guidance on cloud architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive continual improvements to the AWS platform, sharing customer needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS services and features.
  • Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures, and evangelize and educate about AWS technology through various channels.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
Requirements
  • Background in cloud architecture, systems design, software development, infrastructure architecture, data engineering, or DevOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent German and English.
  • Passion for technology and for learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud.
  • Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
  • Working knowledge of multiple technology domains, such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads, high-performance databases, complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads, etc.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working in or with regulated organizations or with the Education sector.
