The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts. As a Process Engineer at Microcaps AG, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our encapsulation process systems and help us rapidly scale beyond our current capacity to fulfill customer demand.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, assemble, test, and commission novel process equipment for microencapsulation processes.
- Lead or support process validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal and external experts, to achieve project objectives.
- Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues and challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
- Strong technical background with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering or related field or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong technical expertise in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, with knowledge of relevant engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to manufacturing processes (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Project Management experience.
- Team player and excited to work in a rapidly growing process technology company.
- Proficient in both German and English.
- Possess a work permit in Switzerland.
- Intrinsically motivated to design technical solutions for challenging chemical process problems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team leadership experience.
