Technical Project Manager, Senior

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the application of Lonza's Technical Standards, as well as engineering principles, concepts, and industry practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the effective implementation of technical standards and best practices.
  • Proactively align and maintain alignment with the Lonza Project Team on applicable technical standards.
  • Participate in technical meetings with Work Package Owners and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and approve technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the declaration of conformity according to PED regulations.
  • Organize internal and external workshops to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Contribute to project reporting, including the collection of information and preparation of charts for KPIs.
  • Participate in approval workflows in Unifier and CQV.
  • Attend FATs/SATs as an observing auditor.
  • Lead technical change management discussions to ensure proposed changes are aligned with project objectives.
  • Prepare and execute the handover of technical information from EPCMQ to Plant Engineering.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in project engineering or project management in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with international experience.
  • Technical knowledge of various engineering disciplines, including clean and black utilities, process, automation, instrumentation, and civil engineering.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Fluency in English, with German language skills an advantage.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and functions within the organization.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in engineering and cGMP manufacturing.
