The technical project managers are responsible for all technical changes in the production facilities. They are the link between the different organisations in the technical projects and improvements on the production side (CAPEX, MSAT, engineering, QA and production). They must ensure that all projects meet the required standards in terms of schedule and scope.

You will report directly with the Head of Production to ensure that production can be maintained at all times.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the technical training of the function leaders within the production team
- Overtaking manufacturing project leader role or being proactive team member in CAPEX
- Driving continuous improvement in production area for quality, cost, efficiency and safety. This includes technical guidance to teams in investment projects and process adaptations, and leading the technical discussion with the different customer / shareholder as required
- Analyze economic feasibility of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost-benefit and return-on-investment standards
- Validate and challenge project risks / escalations from technical perspective
- Support for the automation group in the creation of OP/UP and their optimization

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related disciplines
- Sound knowledge of biotechnological processes in large scale mammalian/microbial inoculation and cell culture, harvest, buffer / media preparation in stainless tank transfer to stainless hold tanks, and transfers to single use technologies, parts preparation (washer/autoclaves), large powder dispensing and/or in protein purification (Chromatography on 1-2M columns, TFF, SPTFF, Depth filtration, VRF, VI,& End fill operations)
- Advanced automation experience with Delta V and/or MES
- Profound CAPEX experience - either one big one > 10 mio CHF or multiple minor ones
- Fluency in English mandatory, German is highly desired
- Excellent communication skills, team player, driven and solution-oriented
