The Senior Manager, Project Delivery position is responsible for the successful execution of CAPEX projects in Visp, focusing on safety, cost, schedule, quality, and functionality. This includes managing all engineering areas, ensuring compliance with Lonza's Technical Standards, and driving collaboration with the technical team and senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with safety policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Sharing and enforcing applicable standards and practices with the project team and Work Package Owners.
  • Executing CAPEX projects according to budget, scope, and on-time deliverables.
  • Reviewing and approving technical documentation.
  • Organizing workshops and supporting team members to establish agendas, meeting minutes, and action lists.
  • Contributing to project control systems to manage risk, cost, and schedule.
  • Conducting regular engineering and project control reviews to ensure project execution is on track.
  • Participating in FATs/SATs as an observing auditor.
  • Contributing to the implementation of state-of-the-art technical solutions and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and ecology standards.
  • Ensuring the sharing and leveraging of best practices and expertise within Lonza's engineering community.
  • Ensuring successful project hand-over to the user-team.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Processes, Mechanical, Plant Engineering, or similar).
  • 3+ years in project engineering or project management, with international experience.
  • Project engineering skills, including contract management.
  • Understanding of project controlling and project appraisal knowledge.
  • Wide interdisciplinary knowledge and extended EHS knowledge.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and drive results.
  • Solid collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
